Yes sir, es hora de elaborar la lista de lo más destacado en el 2008 musicalmente y sin duda alguna, el trabajar en radio ha causado que mi lista sea mucho mas mainstream-friendly, pero igual.. hay unas cuantas joyas que todos deberían escuchar y que nunca pararon de sonar en mi iPod ni abandonaron mi scrobbling de last.fm.
Recuerdo que hace un año Oceansize se adueñó del primer puesto con todas las de la ley, y si hago más memoria, hasta en diciembre del 2007 no paré de escuchar todo ese disco, al punto que reproducirlo el día de hoy me transporta directamente a esa época.

Podría incluso hacer una comparación por el tiempo de espera entre Chinese Democracy de Guns n' Roses y este, pero colocar el nombre de Cynic junto al de Axl & Friends en una sola oración sería hasta un insulto.
Paul Masvidal, Sean Malone, Sean Reinert y Tymon Kruidenier tomaron el status de banda de culto en el Death Metal Tecnico/Progresivo que creó Cynic en el año 93 con "Focus" y lo consolidaron de una manera increíble, con un disco que le enseña a todas las demás bandas del género cómo se debe hacer música.
